Blue Sky Alpacas Patterns - Knit Quilt

This stranded colorwork stunner is worked one block at a time and then joined together with a three needle bind off.  Included are instructions for a fabric backing.

 

sizes:

Square: 14" x 14"

Quilt: Approx. 44" x 56"

 

gauge:

In stranded St st, with larger needles, 9 sts and 9 rows = 4"

 

materials:

• Blue Sky Bulky (100 g/45 yds): 16 hanks MC, 12 hanks CC

• Size 13 (9 mm) circular needle, at least 32" long or size needed to obtain gauge

• 2 size 11 (8 mm) circular needles, each at least 32" long

• 45" x 66" piece of fabric, washed and pressed

• Sewing needle and thread to match fabric

• Sharp-end tapestry needle 

• Blunt-end tapestry needle

• Large safety pins
