A snazzy striped shawl with lots of options for customization! Pick your size - a classic triangle, two triangles stuck together (slit square), or three triangles stuck together (mushy starfish), pick your sock yarns (just about anything’ll do!), pick your edging, and put the stripes wherever you want ‘em! (I’ll tell you where I did them, of course, but improvisation is easy and welcome.) The somewhat crafty striping method allows you to do stripes with odd numbers of rows, for a delightfully gradient look. You could even get crazy and use more than three colors.
Yarn: Any fingering weight yarn, one 100g skein each of three colors

For the smaller size, you can get away with less than a full skein of each color, especially for the first color
Needles: US 7 circular needles at least 24" long (longer may be more comfortable)
Gauge: 20 st and 32 rows = 4"
