Liesl

Liesl is a round yoked cardigan worked from the neck down in a simple allover feather and fan lace pattern.
 
Different effects can be achieved by using a variety of yarns in worsted to chunky weights and lots of options are given so that you can make Liesl your own by varying the neckline depth, body and sleeve lengths and cast off method. Fasten your finished cardigan with any number of buttons, a ribbon bow or perhaps a special pin.

Sizes:
30[34, 38, 42, 46, 50, 54]” / 76[86, 97, 107, 117, 127, 137]cm bust.

Shown in size 86.5cm / 34 with no ease.

Materials:
Worsted to Chunky weight yarn. Any yarn with a recommended gauge of 18-14 sts per 10cm / 4” can be used to give different effects. 

The exact amount of yarn required will depend on the options you choose and the length you knit to but as a guide the options chosen for the samples used approximately:

Long-sleeves: 310[340, 400, 435, 560, 600, 670]m / 335[375, 435, 475, 610, 655, 730]yds

Short-sleeves: 165[190, 235, 260, 340, 365, 425]m / 185[210, 260, 285, 370, 400, 465]yds

You will also need approximately 12 metres extra for swatching.

7mm (or size needed to obtain correct gauge) 60cm / 24” or longer circular needle.

For sleeved version – 7mm set of 4 or 5 double pointed needles or needles required for your preferred method of working small circumferences in the round.

Tapestry needle.

St st gauge : 13 sts and 17 rows = 10cm / 4”
1 12 st rep of feather and fan = 10cm / 4”
