Fingering Weight Socks CAL - Q2 2021

Craft-A-Long Details:

• Pattern Choices: Your choice of any sock pattern knit at 7+ stitches/inch.
• Yarn Choices: Your choice of any fingering weight ESK yarn
• CAL Dates: Apr. 1 - June 30th

This is a multi-pattern craft-a-long that starts on April 1st, 2021 and runs through June 30th. All projects that result in a finished pair of socks worked at a gauge of 7+ stitches/inch are eligible. Choose any sock pattern and any fingering weight yarn to participate! Your pattern can be written for any weight of yarn so long as you use fingering weight yarn for your project or work your yarn at a fingering weight gauge of 7 or more stitches/inch. You can also create your own pattern or modify an existing pattern any way you like.

For the purposes of this craft-a-long, your finished project needs to cover both toes and heels to count as a "sock," and there should be two of them (aka, "a pair") though whether or not they match is up to you. We will also allow any yarn or combination of yarns knit or crocheted at a fingering weight gauge of 7+ stitches per inch.

This craft-a-long officially begins on the first of April. First, choose your pattern! Pick your yarn, maybe even get ambitious and do a swatch (while earning your Swatchbuckler badge!), and cast-on with your fellow ESKers in the Ravelry thread. When your project is done, head to your Progress Dashboard to submit your project and get your yardage and stars. Our goal is to have as many of you as possible finish your projects within the timeframe of the craft-a-long (truly crafting "along"), but we'll accept submissions for all 2021 craft-a-longs all the way up through December 25th to allow maximum participation.

Prizes: All 2021 CALs have six size options to allow everyone to play. You'll earn more yardage and stars the larger your project is. You can combine as many projects as you'd like - just wait to submit until all your projects for the CAL are done.

Requirements for ALL craft-a-longs:

• All yarn should come from Eat.Sleep.Knit except for minor embellishments
• All projects should start on or after the start date for the craft-a-long and be completed and submitted by December 25th, 2021
• All projects should use the patterns or themes specified by the individual craft-a-long requirements
• All projects completed within the craft-a-long calendar timeframe will be eligible for the Ravelry prize drawings for that craft-a-long.
