Return Policy

We accept returns on all new, full-priced yarn within 60 days of purchase as long as it is received back in saleable condition. Sale items, closeout items, wound/used yarn, needles, crochet hooks, patterns, and gift certificates are not returnable.

Refunds will be for the full amount of your order minus any shipping costs incurred if your order is no longer over $100. If your entire order is returned, the actual cost of original shipping will be subtracted from your refund.

How to Return
Just send the merchandise you'd like to return back to us within 60 days of your order along with a copy of the invoice included with your order. If you would prefer store credit, please make a note on your invoice.

Please allow up to 4 weeks for returns/exchanges to be processed.

If you send back items that are ineligible for return, you will be given the option to have them shipped back to you at your expense or disposed of as we see fit.

Exchanges
If you need to exchange a flawed skein for another of the same item, please send us an e-mail with your name, e-mail address, order number, and information about the issue before mailing. Once we receive the defective item and verify that it is defective, we will replace the item at our expense and issue you a credit for return shipping to us.

Exchanges due to unreasonable expectations will be processed as returns. "Unreasonable expectations" are "defects" that do not prevent you from knitting with or completing a project with the yarn so long as you follow the manufactuer's recommendations. These include but are not limited to complaints regarding skein matching, dye jobs, and tangling of skeins, if returned merchandise is deemed to be in saleable/knittable condition.

For all other exchanges - simply return your new, unused yarn to us via the return policy above and place an order for the new yarn you would like. You do not need to wait for your return to be processed before placing the order for the new yarn. We apologize, but we can only process exchanges online for flawed/defective items.

Return Policy Abuse
It's important to us to keep our return policy easy and generous so you can feel comfortable buying yarn online. Individual abuse of this policy will result in a loss of return privileges. You will be sent a written warning before this action is taken.

We absolutely do not want to suspend any customer's return privileges and will not do so unless the abuse is excessive.

Some guidelines for what constitutes abuse:

  • More than 8 individual returns in a calendar year
  • More than 6 returns in a calendar year where the entire order is returned
  • Making multiple returns on the same individual order more than once

Individuals will receive a warning e-mail when they are within one return of any of these guidelines. Individuals meeting any of these guidelines will have return privileges suspended. Once privileges are suspended, if we receive any further returns, we will charge the credit card used for the order being returned the actual cost to ship the yarn back to the customer or dispose of the yarn if the individual's credit card can not be charged.
